Nicholas Bausman Jr. was the fifth of ten children born to Nicholas Sr. and Mary (Casper) Bausman. Nicholas Jr's daughter Viola was my mother's paternal grandmother. Nicholas "Nick" Bausman Jr. was born 02 December 1855 in Guilford Township, Jo Daviess County, Illinois. Nick was raised Presbyterian. He married Catherine "Katie" Hebenstreit on 21 January 1886 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. I found a newspaper clipping of a marriage announcement for my maternal grandfather's parents Viola Bausman and Percy Davis while going through some genealogy files once belonging to Viola's sister, Gertrude (Bausman) Schoenhard.  I enjoyed reading the description of Viola's wedding dress.  I have a picture of their wedding (posted below next to the article transcription), but would never have known the color of her dress without this clipping.
