I took an unexpected and extended break due to illness. I was terribly sick for a couple of weeks, and last week I spent catching up on work that didn't get done the previous two weeks. So this is my first post of April! Over the weekend, I attended my first Daughters of the American Revolution event. People start genealogy researching their family history for many different reasons. Mine was pretty simple. I wanted to join the Daughters of the American Revolution. I wasn't sure when I started if it would be possible; my mom told me it wasn't going to happen through her family line. This left my dad's family as the only possibility.
