Philip Bausman was the brother of my ggg-grandfather, Nicholas Bausman Sr.  Philip was born in Germany on July 8, 1817; he died September 9, 1878, in Guilford Twp, Jo Daviess Co, Illinois.  He's buried in the Hammer Mennonite Cemetery in Guilford Twp.  Philip married Julia Stoft, and they had six children: Philip, Nicholas, William, Henry, Julia, and Catherine.
