Rose (Strelesky) Weber was born on December 20, 1873, in Mineral Point, Iowa County, Wisconsin. She was the second of nine children born to Frank and Fannie (Hainey) Strelesky.  (Other spellings: Streletzky and Streletsky) She was the sister of my great-grandfather, John Joseph Strelesky.  Her other siblings: Agnes, Marie, Amelia, Lavina, Albert, and Alexander. One sibling's name remains unidentified, being born between 1880 and dying before 1900. Rose married Joseph Christoph Weber on September 22, 1893, in Chicago, Illinois. I've been working identifying the family of my great-grandfather, John Joseph "Jack" Strelesky, for quite some time.  To say it's been challenging is to put it mildly.  Jack was one of eight children born to Francis Strelesky and Frances Hainey.  He was the oldest boy.  His siblings, in order from oldest to youngest:  Agnes, Rose, Marie, [Jack], Amelia "Mildred", Levina, Albert Frank, and James Alexander.  All were born in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. Marriage: Rose Strelesky and Joseph Weber

Tracking down the siblings of my great-grandfather, John Joseph Strelesky, has been challenging.  Fortunately, there aren't too many people with this last name, so when I find it, I can usually determine pretty quickly whether or not they are related. One night I was using FamilySearch.org and found the marriage certificate of Rose Streletzky and Joseph Weber.  Rose was Jack's older sister.  She married Joseph Christoph Weber on September 22, 1893, in Chicago, Illinois.
