Obituary: George Bausman

George Bausman was the son of Nicholas Sr and Mary (Casper) Bausman, and the brother of my g-g-grandfather, Nicholas Bausman Jr.  George died on December 26, 1922, in Warren, Illinois.  I have no citation information for this obituary.

Transcription of obituary:
George Bausman was born in Guilford township, Jo Daviess county, Ill., on Sept 5th, 1857, and passed away at Warren, on Tuesday, December 26, 1922. He is survived by the widow and five children.

He was married February 21st, 1882, to Miss Rachel Miller, of Guilford township. To this union were born three boys, Nick, George and John, all of Warren, two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Pansing and Mrs. Clinton Leverton, both of Warren.

Mr. Bausman spent the greater part of his life in Scales Mound, but in 1896 he bought a farm near Warren, where he lived until eight years ago, when he moved with his family to Warren to live.

He was a kind and loving husband and father, and will be greatly missed by the family as well as by the friends and neighbors.

The funeral was held on Thursday, Dec. 28th from the Lutheran church, and burial was made in Elmwood cemetery.
