Thomas Herod and Ellen Giffin are my g-g-g-grandparents.  Their daughter Rhoda married my g-g-grandfather, George Lightcap.  Below is Thomas Herod and Ellen Giffin’s record of marriage.  They were united in marriage on May 3, 1838 in Marion, Ohio.
