My grandparents Marian Bohnsack and Stanley Davis married in Apple River, Illinois, on August 1, 1941.  This was her first marriage and his second.  Their wedding announcement appeared in the Freeport Journal-Standard on August 8, 1941.

Apple River, Ill., Aug. 8.—Announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Marian Bohnsack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bohnsack, of Apple River, and Stanley Davis, son of Mr, and Mrs. Percy Davis of Scales Mound, which was solemnized Friday, Aug. 1, at St. Joseph’s church, Rev. Flavian Voet officiating at the ceremony.

They left on a honeymoon to Camp Forrest, Term., and will reside on-a farm near Scales Mound on their return.
