Marjorie Strelesky was the daughter of John Strelesky and Ernestine Sanders.  She was a sister of my grandmother, Eunice (Strelesky) Lightcap.  Marjorie was born in Sheridan, Sheridan Co, Wyoming, February 26, 1919.  She died January 15, 2001, in Cedar Rapids, Linn Co, Iowa. Interment made at Cedar Memorial Mausoleum.

Marjorie Strelesky , 81, of Silver Pines Assisted Living Community, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, in Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, where a wake service, conducted by Roseann Hayek, begins at 3 p.m. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Mausoleum.

Surviving are seven nephews, a niece and two cousins.

She was born Feb. 26, 1919, in Sheridan, Wyo., to John and Ernestine Sanders Strelesky . She had been a hair dresser in Bellevue, Wash., and Cedar Rapids for many years. In Cedar Rapids, she was co-owner of LeMar Beauty Salon. Marjorie graduated from Dubuque Senior High School and was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. She formerly was a member of St. Louise Catholic Church in Bellevue.
