
Celestine (Uhlrich) Hatzenbuhler was the daughter of Francis J. Uhlrich and Teresa Heid and sister of my gg-grandmother Mary Francis Josephine (Uhlrich) Sanders. She was born August 12, 1868, in Galena, Jo Daviess Co, Illinois. She was one of eight children.
She married Joseph George Hatzenbuhler October 29, 1894. They had six children.
She is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, Dubuque Co, Iowa, along with her parents, husband and their children Arnold J and Marjorie Hatzenbuhler .

DEATH TAKES MRS. J.G. HATZENBUHLER

Mrs. Celestine Hatzenbuhler, wife of J. George Hatzenbuhler, died at the family residence, 892 Edison Street, Thursday morning at 1:25 o’clock after a lingering illness. The funeral will be held Saturday morning from the residence to the Holy Trinity Church where requiem mass will be read at 10:00 o’clock. Burial will be made in Linwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Hatzenbuhler was born in Galena, August 12, 54 years ago, and has spent the past 35 years in Dubuque. She was married to J. George Hatzenbuhler October 29, 1894. Mrs. Hatzenbuhler had been an invalid for the past nine years. She was a member of the Catholic faith, attending the Holy Trinity church, and died comforted by the last rites of her religion.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Maud and Mrs. Albert Savary, Dubuque; two sons, George, Jr., Dubuque, and Edwin, Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. E.V. Sanders, Dubuque, Mrs. F.J. Hoelting, Galena, and Mrs. Robert Woodward, Dubuque; and one brother, Frank Uhlrich, Dubuque. One son and one daughter preceded her in death.
