This is the marriage certificate of my great-great grandparents, Nicholas Bausman and Catherine Hebenstreit. They married January 21, 1886, at St. Matthew’s parsonage in Shullsburg, Lafayette County, Wisconsin.  Catherine is the daughter of Vitus Hebenstreit and Bertha Schafer.  Nicholas is the son of Nicholas Bausman Sr and Mary Casper.

I, undersigned, do hereby certify, that on the 21st day of January A.D. 1886 in the parsonage of St. Matthew, Shullsburg, Wis. I joined in the Holy Bonds of Matrimony Mr. Nicholas Bausman and Miss Catherine Hebenstreit according to the rites of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
