Philip Bausman was the brother of my ggg-grandfather, Nicholas Bausman Sr. Philip was born in Germany on July 8, 1817; he died September 9, 1878, in Guilford Twp, Jo Daviess Co, Illinois. Nicholas Bausman Sr’s of Guilford Township, Illinois, appeared in the “Portrait and Biographical Album of Jo Daviess and Carroll Counties, Illinois” (1889), p. 444.
