Nicholas Bausman Sr’s of Guilford Township, Illinois, appeared in the “Portrait and Biographical Album of Jo Daviess and Carroll Counties, Illinois” (1889), p. 444. Nicholas Sr. was my ggg-grandfather and was married to Mary Casper.  He died in 1907; he was buried on their land, near Scales Mound, Illinois. Enjoy his biography! Nicholas Bausman Sr….
