Obituary: Bryan Bland Bausman

This is the obituary for Bryan Bausman, son of Lawrence Bausman.  He was the grandson of Nicholas Bausman Sr, my g-g-g-grandfather.  His obituary was published in the Ackley World Journal on July 5, 1962.

Bryan B. Bausman Succumbs to Heart Attack Thurs. p.m.

Wellsburg – Bryan Bland Bausman passed away at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center on Thursday afternoon around 4 p.m. due to a heart attack. He had been taken to the hospital on Saturday evening June 16th.

Funeral services were held on June 24, 1962, at 1:30 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Valley Evangelical United Brethren Church with the pastor, Rev. M. R. Houts officiating. Burial was in the family lot of the church cemetery. Graveside Military Rites were conducting by the American Legion, American Amvets, and the Veterans of World War I.

Those who preceded him in death were: his parents, his wife, two sister (Rose, Mrs. Charles Fritzel); Mary E. Bausman; five brothers, Charles, Lee, Irl, Floyd, and Wayne Bausman.

Those left to mourn his passing are his daughter Phyllis, one brother Lynn of Eldora, two sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Will J. Harms of Iowa Falls), Beulah, (Mrs. Jack Perry, Sr. of Parkersburg); one aged Aunt Mrs. Carolyn Van Ningen of Volga, South Dakota; and a host of other relatives and friends.
