5. LEVI LIGHTCAP, son of John Lightcap and Mary Chamberlin, was born on 19 June 1822 in New Jersey. He died on 09 December 1870 in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana. (accidently shot and killed) He is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana. He married MARY SMITH on 26 January 1842 in Seneca County, Ohio, daughter of Christian Smith and Rebecca Firestone. She was born about 1820 in Ohio. She died about 1882.  Mary’s burial location is unknown.

5. i. WALTER L. LIGHTCAP was born on 07 November 1842 in Melmore, Seneca County, Ohio. He died on 26 March 1927 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana.

He married (1) ELIZA JANE STEWART on 29 October 1868, daughter of James Stewart and Elizabeth Palmer. She was born on 13 September 1842 in Ohio. She died on 05 January 1912 in Denham, Pulaski County, Indiana. She is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana.

Walter married (2) MARY ELIZABETH JARRETT on 25 June 1913 in Starke County, Indiana, daughter of William Jarrett and Malinda Crawford. She was born on 08 October 1840 in Louisville, Henry County, Indiana. She died on 05 June 1918 in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana.

5.ii. GEORGE LIGHTCAP was born on 27 January 1844 in Melmore, Seneca County, Ohio. He died on 28 November 1928 in Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota. He is buried at State Veterans Home Cemetery in Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota. He married RHODA ELLEN HERROD on 21 March 1868 in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana, daughter of Thomas Herrod and Ellen Giffin. She was born in October 1848 in Morrow County, Ohio. She died on 11 September 1925 in Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota.  She is buried at State Veterans Home Cemetery in Hot Springs, Fall River County, South Dakota.

5.iii. FRANCES J. LIGHTCAP was born on 12 April 1846 in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. She died on 29 April 1923. She is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Miami County, Indiana. She married AUGUSTUS JOHANN WHITE (WEICHE) on 16 April 1876 in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana. He was born on 05 December 1849 in Vandsburg, Westpreussen, Prussia. He died on 28 January 1934. His burial location is unknown.

5.iv. HENRY LIGHTCAP was born on 27 June 1851 in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. He died on 31 December 1914 in Denver, Adams County, Colorado. He suffered from asthma and went to Denver to alleviate his condition.  He died at St. Anthony’s hospital in Denver. He is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana. He married AUGUSTA ROST on 26 August 1876 in Starke County, Indiana, daughter of Peter Rost and Caroline. She was born in 1858 in Prussia. She died on 16 April 1935 in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana. She is buried at Pioneer Cemetery in North Judson, Starke County, Indiana.  Henry and Augusta had no children.
